"Sounds like the other guests are here." Vyvyan says, leaping from the top of the stairs to the bottom without apparent damage.

"Hi girls! Wanna see how many pressups I can do?"

He starts doing pressups. A lot.

Seras sipped her drink, out in the open. Hoping she would not have to see any more Vyvyan being stupid. She was suspecting that she was going to be wrong.

She gathered the empty packet and put it in the bag with the cleaning supplies. Yay, for bag of holding.

The booze and snacks were held out to Rick.

"Are you an alcoholic or something? The party hasn't started yet!" Rick yells, stamping his foot. He takes the food and drink.

Mike sidles up to Seras and slips his arm around her.

"Hey babe, you look ready to party."

Vyvyan is still doing press-ups.

"Nope, I was just being nice," she said, "I can't drink or eat this stuff, so I figured I'd bring my own drink."
She was suddenly bearing some of her teeth at Rick.

"You wanna loose that arm?" She asked Mike.

Rick makes a face and stomps off. Mike grins.

"I like a girl with spirit." he says, removing the arm anyway. "You really came with Vyv?"

Vyvyan is still doing pressups.

"Yes," she said, "He's a friend of mine."

Not to mention, zat you turned 'im, said a voice in her head, 'o is ziz guy? I will tear 'his arm off myself if he touches you again, my little flower.

She laughed at Pip's comments, "Anyway, my boyfriend," she screwed up her face at this as it was weird, "doesn't object. He thinks Vyv is a little thick, but he doesn't hate him."

You lie.

"You must be Mike," said Seras, "He's talked about you a bit."

again lie!

Yes, she knows more about Mike because of the blood thing.

"Oh yeah? My reputation preceeds me then." he winks at Seras.

"What's Vyvyan doing then?"

Vyvyan finishes doing pressups and sits next to Rick, who seems to have found a present in a girl's bag. A telescope with a mouse in it!

"Being a git," said Seraas watching the stupid that was happening in the living room.

She moved to the living room and sat down with her drink.

"Rick you must be a virgin," she said.

"Oh it's gone all soggy, oh it's okay, there's some tissues here... I think I need to go to the lavatory."

Rick runs out of the room. Vyv grins and makes room for Seras.

"Where did he put that thing that it got all soggy?" she asked laughing at Rick.

Is zis 'ole world stupid?

That made her laugh even more manically. Yes, there is the teeth thing now, she can't hide it that well, when laughing thismuch.

"In that girl's drink." Vyv takes a handful of cornflakes. "Hey look, it's Rip, Rig and Panic."

A band begins playing in the kitchen, just like that.

"How did they get in here?" she asked him.

Vyvyan shrugs.

"Same way as anything else. You know, you jump up and land somewhere else or come from offstage."

"Or sometimes." a book at Seras' feet adds, "things just are how they are."

"Your world is strange Vyvyan," she said," But at least it isn't flowing with blood, and in flames."

Yes she said that out loud.

Vyvyan gets a cigarette lighter out of his pocket and flicks it a few times, then sets the book on fire.

"Is that better?"

Seras laughed.

"You dork,"she said," I was saying that it was nice that it isn't like mine."

"Oh, okay then." Vyvyan steals a drink off the reappeared Rick, which he uses to put out the fire.

"Vyvyan!" Rick yells. Vyv gets up, sticking two fingers up at him, then goes to answer the phone.

"Ah, the pub's closed, so the rest of the guests will be here shortly."

Seras has yet to have fun at this party.

She sighed.

The house suddenly becomes full of drunk students. Mike seems to have disappeared off upstairs. Vyvyan grins at Seras.

"C'mon, let's go and trash the bathroom."

"No," she said," You go ahead Vyv."

Vyvyan dashes off upstairs.

A boy in a suit sits down next to Seras.

"Hallo, I'm Colin, I'm looking to do an article for the student rag mag."

"I'm not a student," she said.

These people were weird.

"That's all right, you can give me an outsider's perspective. What do you think of student parties?"

She looked at him, "I would rather be at home," she said, "taking care of my kitten, and finishing writing up my Standard Op Manual. When was the last time you killed a zombie?"

Blink. "Ah ha ha ha!" Colin exclaims, then gets up and moves on.

Vyvyan reappears and grins at her.

"We were gonna set off all the fire extinguishers, but we haven't got any."
